Braxton's Birthday

Braxton's Birthday turned into a week long or more affair. We promised he could go swimming for his birthday, but told him too early. To get him to stop with the incessant "I go swimming" we went swimming a week early.

Braxton's party was a The Rat Hole, aka Chuck-E-Cheese. Pa, Grammy and Jenny joined us (Nonny, Poppy, M and the girls got snowed in in Price).

Halloween

This is the first year that Braxton finally "got" Halloween. Well, kinda.. He was always asking to go to Halloween or trick-or-treat. I'm not sure that he even knew that he was going to get candy! He was excited about getting a costume and pumpkins, but he wasn't too sure about scraping the seeds from the inside of the pumpkin.

Carving a pumpkin was another "special" family project. We managed to get pumpkins on the cheap that were also hard as rocks. We decided to do what anyone in this situation would do, we broke out the power tools! Thanks to the Dremel we were able to carve our pumpkins without slashing off body parts (well, the pumpkin lost a tooth).

In the end, he had a blast! He eventually did more than hold out his bucket and smile as people loaded him up with candy. Braxton ended his Halloween night running through the neighborhood with Chris and Alyssa screaming Trick-or-Treat!

Speaking of Alyssa and Chris, they were dressed as some kind of caped villain and a princess respectively. And then there was the Ostrich Rider and the Coca-Cola Superhero (yeah, we don't know either).
